#About Erin McKinley

Erin McKinley has practiced family law in Ithaca, New York for more than 20 years. Since 2009, Erin McKinley has limited her practice to working with clients who opt to use the collaborative process, mediation or out-of-court negotiation.

Erin McKinley is a past president of the Tompkins County Bar Association (2003-2004) and a past president of the Ithaca Area Collaborative Law Professionals (2006-2008). Her other memberships include the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Finger Lakes Women’s Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

From 2013-2015, Erin McKinley served on the Access to Collaboration Task Force for the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. The Access to Collaboration Task Force is a group dedicated to making Collaborative Practice available to clients of modest means, around the world.

Erin McKinley has served on the boards of local non-profits, including the Women’s Opportunity Center, Ithaca Community Childcare Center, the City Federation of Women’s Organizations, and the Tompkins County Parents Apart Program.

Prior to opening her solo law practice in 2004, Erin McKinley was a partner in the law firm of Wiggins and Masson, LLP. She has a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Ithaca College, and graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
