#No Cost Collaborative Program#

If you are interested in using the collaborative process, but can not afford to pay, you may qualify for access to a free collaborative attorney through the Ithaca Area Collaborative Law Professionals’ No Cost Collaborative Program.

What is the No Cost Collaborative Program? The No Cost Collaborative Program connects low income individuals with free lawyers for the collaborative process. Participants must meet certain financial and other qualifications to use the No Cost Collaborative Program.

What is the Collaborative Process? The collaborative process is a way for people to resolve legal issues without ever going to court, but with both parties having the help of their own collaborative lawyer. In the collaborative process, the parties and their collaborative lawyers sign a contract that commits the collaborative lawyers to staying out of court.

Neither lawyer in a collaborative process can later represent a party against the other in any contested court proceeding.
